Brasilia International School

LOCATION

Brasilia International School (BIS) is located in Brazil’s capital city, Brasilia. There are 4 million people located in Brasilia and its satellite cities. Brasilia is a beautiful city with parks, a large lake, rolling hills, and waterfalls throughout the interior which are popular for long weekend adventures. Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo are the business hubs of the country and are each about one and a half hours away by plane.

THE COMMUNITY

The BIS vision is to maintain a caring learning community founded on a biblical worldview. BIS prepares international students to be life-long learners, effective communicators, responsible citizens, healthy people, and spiritually sensitive individuals.

THE SCHOOL

BIS offers a college preparatory American education program for preschool, elementary, middle and high school students from families who work in Brasilia as diplomats and embassy staff, business professionals, military personnel, government personnel, and church workers. BIS administration, teachers, and staff strive to educate with a high level of academic integrity and reach each and every child on a daily basis. BIS is a special place where ministry is happening on a daily basis by God’s grace through highly-qualified teachers who consider themselves not solely educators but have hearts for missions as well.
