Job Description:
The Athletics Coordinator strategically plans, supports, and implements the schoolwide ICS sports program, ECA program, ICS clubs, school performances, and STUCO in order to offer a wide range of opportunities for ICS students, and actively support and promote the mission and vision of the school.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (exceptions to be approved by the Academic Review Board)
Teaching credential from an English speaking country or from ACSI (exceptions will be approved by the Academic Board)
Experience as Athletic Coordinator (sports background preferred)
Experience working with students in an athletic or sports setting
Responsibilities:
Liaise and communicate effectively with all sectional administrators and sporting coordinators at the school. Bi-weekly meeting with Division Principals, the Director, & Facilities Manager for the purpose of forward planning. Communicate school-wide expectations to the ICS staff for facilities usage, scheduling, and events. Update sports results to the community weekly via principal emails, weekly announcements, and annually in the annual report. Communicate sporting event schedules, drama and ECA schedules on school calendars, and other school-wide communication methods. Communicating with parents ECA calendar, ECA bus information, sports events, and transportation. Review, update and articulate the ACSIS (Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools), ACSC (Asia Christian Schools Conference) programs with all stakeholders. Liaise with parent organizations relative to all sports events at ICS. Hire and develop all sports coaches. Lead all coaches, officials, volunteers, and support personnel to effectively meet the goals of the ICS sports programs. Ensure that all sporting events are in line with the mission and learning goals of ICS. Coordinate all administrative duties related to all ICS sporting events, after-school or ECA sporting activities, and drama productions. Manage all interscholastic sports and activities for the entire school, and ensure that adequate support personnel is in place for each event. Oversee the placing of athletic events and ECA activities on the school planning calendar. Oversee all aspects related to the safety of the sports programs. Onboard all outside vendors/volunteers with training and paperwork. Serve as the ECA Coordinator and as such: Work with the administration to ensure the ECA program is aligned to the school's mission and goals. Vetting new ECA programs as needed. Manage the campus card registration for all ECA's. Organize the student/staff coaches that will participate in the ECA program. lead in the program development and supervision of ECA leaders. Oversee all aspects related to the safety of the ECA programs, especially the sports offerings. Oversee the scheduling of all facilities involving ECA activities. Oversee the placing of athletic events and ECA activities on the school planning calendar. Maintaining and managing all equipment and supplies for ECA activities. Serve as the coordinator of Drama productions, Clubs, and STUCO at ICS. Oversee creation of a weekly club calendar. Oversee work with STUCO faculty and student leaders in running student government programs. Develop and manage the operational budgets for all sporting events, travel, ECA's, and drama productions. Manage stipend payments and other operational expense payments to vendors etc. Organized and manage bus schedules and payments.
