The last five years of steady growth within the 19 NICS/Oasis existing schools is very exciting. During this time, however, no new schools have been started. We do not attribute this to lack of vision, and certainly not lack of opportunity, but primarily to the lack of resources. We believe God will provide wherever He leads, so we have endeavored to listen to His voice and move accordingly.
One of the major purposes of our movement, however, is to establish new schools around the world. We have patiently waited for God to bring about the right circumstance, the right people, and the right opportunities, and now we are excited to announce two new projects that are on the horizon for the 2012-13 school year.
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Oasis Project)
American International School, KL (AISKL)
The desire to establish a school in KL goes back to the mid- and early-nineties for our agency. That effort came to a halt simply because of the lack of financial capital funding. Recently, however, a new effort has arisen for a school in KL, and this time it looks like it is indeed God's timing. We're excited, and we believe this will quickly become a very large and strong school. The country of Malaysia is a "rising star" in Asia, and the city of KL is a growing, exciting place, full of expatriates and internationals.
Our plan is to begin in a rented facility while we seek funding for a purpose-built facility. We are planning for 40-80 students the first year. We have currently filled all teaching position for the first year. Additionally, we need donors who can help with the initial set-up costs for the new school. Those interested can go to our donation page on this website. More information can be found at the Oasis website:

Batam, Indonesia (Oasis Project)
Batam Island International School (BIIS)
Our home office has been in contact with a group from Batam for several months now, and recently decided to partner with this group to establish a new school on this island just south of Singapore (a 40-minute ferry ride). We are expecting initial enrollment to be around 25 students. Two seasoned network teachers have already committed to this new project, so no new staffing is needed at this time. We believe this project has the potential to grow into a school of 200-300 eventually. For more information, visit our Oasis website: www.oasisis.org
